What happened after the happily ever after?

You all know the story of Red Riding Hood, but did you ever wonder what happened after the fairytale ending? Well we know. Not all afters end up happily, sometimes the real adventure starts much later...

The forests of Elder are filled with people that change into wolves on the full moon. For Castiel, the haunted woods that the big bad wolf once roamed is anything but scary. He’s spent the past few years of his life making a home in the woods and loving every minute of it. While he isn’t a wolf, he’s befriended them and found they make great neighbors, even if many in the country still see them as the monster they once were.

Unfortunately, the change to the new winter season has brought a sickness to the wolves Castiel counts as friends. When his wolf friends need help, Castiel is there to lend a hand and to try to get his mother to see that something is wrong. The only question is, can Castiel convince Little Red Riding Hood that the wolves need help before something terrible happens?

My name is Castiel, son of Red Riding Hood, and this is my story.

Mostly good

I found most of this story good, but some smaller parts are a bit boring to me.

Love the series

I enjoy these books so much. The storyline is interesting, well written and I love that they end with a cliffhanger.

Great retelling

*** Read in Kindle Unlimited ***This is the first book in the Little Red Riding Hood retelling in the Kingdom of Fairytales world and we now get to focus on a new main character and the adventures and trials that they must face. I really enjoy how the author has kept to the same world yet has split up each retelling into its own series

Curious for more

This book wasn’t more-ish like the previous all were. Not quite as captivating. It took me a while to get into it. I found myself not being able to focus during the descriptive parts. And I never fully bonded with Castiel, the main character. And so many others weren’t nice at all! I only really liked Micco, the Alpha. I need more likeability in a story to make me care what happens to the characters. At the end I was liking it more, and I was invested in the story more, but it took a long time for me to get there. All in all, I think 3 stars. But I am curious as to what’s in store, I am wanting to read more, so that’s a good sign!
