KINGDOM OF FAIRYTALES, BOOK FOURTEEN
HEIR OF THORNS (Rapunzel) eBOOK
HEIR OF THORNS (Rapunzel) eBOOK
You all know the story of Rapunzel, but did you ever wonder what happened after the fairytale ending? Well we know. Not all afters end up happily, sometimes the real adventure starts much later...
Each day, I wake up to a world uglier than the one before. The disease killing my kingdom’s gardens has escaped the palace grounds, transforming our once-beautiful landscape of color into a devastating scene of gray death. The king and queen who should be leading us through the crisis have all but disappeared, and Lilian’s fiancé, the not-so-charming duke of Thornton, has stepped up to control not just the kingdom but his future bride, too. The fate of the kingdom trembles on a precipice, and I’m left to do everything in my power to stop the blight and shield Lilian from the worst of her betrothed’s jealous demands. And as the Spring Flower Festival approaches and all eyes turn our way, I have to step up and show the rest of the world that Floris won’t go down without a fight.
Following famous fairytale characters, eighteen years after their happily ever after, the Kingdom of Fairytales offers an edge of the seat thrill ride in an all new and sensational way to read.
Lighting-fast reads you won’t be able toRA put down
Fantasy has never been so epic!
I am loving this series and I can't wait to see how it unfolds! Characters seem developed and seem so real.
I love the whole concept of J.A. Armitage’s overarching Kingdom of Fairytales stories, with its various component series (either by Armitage or coauthored by her), each devoted to what happened after the “and they lived happily ever after” point in well-known fairytales. Well, the latest of these, Kingdom of Fairytales: Rapunzel, co-authored by Emma Savant, has certainly proven to be a fantastic addition. I got totally hooked on its first book, the wonderful King of Devotion. So much do that I’ve gobbled you books 2 and 3, Heir of Thorns and Throne of Enchantment, in one exhausting but very fulfilling read. These books tell the story of Deon, head gardener of the palace of Floris (home of the most magical flowers in the world) and so much more. There’s romance and magic here - and perfect storytelling. A princess (Lilian) to be loved, a gardener (that would be Deon) who is so much more, a queen hiding herself away (Rapunzel, a name you might recognize) and of course a scourge to fight and evil Duke (Thornton) to overcome. Great, no - fantastic, stuff here that’s massive fun. Highly recommended, especially these days when a bit of magic, romance and fun is so desperately needed.
In this book we find out what is wrong with the Queen. And the King, well, frankly… but I can’t tell for fear of spoiling. Just read it for yourself because this was another great adventure!
Love the conflict between Deon and the Duke. It makes for an interesting twist to the story. I can't wait to read the next book. If you like mystery and romance you will enjoy this book .
This next book takes us further into what is facing the Kingdom of Floris and the curse that is deepening. We now see a distinct villain, and strong heroes who are faced with saving Floris and each other's future.
